David has a ritual every weekend. It kicks off on Friday with a lively family dinner and lots of “balagan”. On Saturday, the feasting continues with David whipping up a big Israeli brunch – homemade hummus, a secret garden salad recipe, eggplant dip, and Israeli sweets, and traditional stiff black coffee to top it off. In the summer months, the gang heads to a small beach north of Tel Aviv to catch some rays and play in the sea, or in the winter, they trek out to the forests around Jerusalem.
David puts as much love and care into trip planning as he does into his weekend shabbats. With over two decades in the industry, it’s safe to say David knows every corner of his beloved country. He’s got an unwavering commitment to responsible travel and his agency is a pioneer of sustainable travel in the region. When he’s not in the kitchen or crafting tailor-made itineraries, David focuses his free time on Leoshit Yad, a charity offering assistance to children with cancer and other complex disabilities.
